Mark J. Klemans

Mark joined the Law Offices of Markey & Orsi in January 2026 after 15 years of exclusively representing insurance companies and their customers in defending personal injury cases. His experience as a former insurance defense attorney gives him a unique perspective when evaluating personal injury cases because of his extensive knowledge of the insurance industry’s defense playbook, which seeks to minimize both the insurance companies’ potential exposure, as well as the injured party’s recovery. Now, Mark works to flip the script for his clients, holding insurance companies and their negligent customers to account, achieving optimal and fair recoveries for those with life-changing injuries.

Over the course of the last 20+ years, Mark has taken hundreds of cases to trial, and he prides himself on friendly, thoughtful, and collaborative preparation with his clients to achieve stellar results. He will be involved in every aspect of your case, from conducting initial meetings, investigating your case, filing suit, propounding extensive and thorough discovery, filing and arguing motions, deposing fact and expert witnesses, and, ultimately, walking into the courtroom and trying your case, if necessary, to achieve a maximum recovery.

Mark handles matters in Maryland state and Federal courts where he has the pleasure of assisting injury victims in cases involving:

  • Automobile, truck, tractor trailer, and motorcycle negligence
  • Premises liability and slip/trip and falls
  • Dog bites
  • Construction defects and injuries
  • Defective products
  • Food contamination and/or poisoning
  • Environmental contaminants
  • Childhood sexual abuse.

Mark is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ), as well as the Harford County Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association. He has been a member of the Maryland Bar since 2003. Prior to that, he earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and his B.A. in English from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC).
