Brooh D. Walker, Esq.

Brooh Hailu

Brooh joined the Law Offices of Markey & Orsi in September 2020 and focuses her practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal-injury and complex negligence matters. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for the Honorable John S. Nugent of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, where she gained invaluable experience in civil motion practice and trial procedure from the court’s perspective.

Brooh earned her B.A. from Bridgewater College in 2012, graduating with honors, and her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2019. While in law school, she served as a student attorney in the Youth, Education, and Justice Clinic, advocating for vulnerable youth and developing a strong foundation in client-centered litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Brooh is a Board Member of the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) and has served on, and co-chaired, multiple committees within the organization. She currently serves as Co-Chair of MAJ’s Auto Negligence Section, where she plays an active role in attorney education, trial-skills development, and statewide advocacy on behalf of injured plaintiffs. She has co-counseled numerous jury trials, including a case resulting in a verdict in excess of $2 million, and has secured multiple high-value settlements for her clients.

In addition to catastrophic-injury and motor-vehicle collision cases, Brooh regularly handles premises-liability claims, landlord-tenant disputes, and habitability matters, bringing a litigation-focused approach to all stages of a case—from pre-suit investigation through trial. She is known for her thorough preparation, strategic use of discovery, and strong client advocacy.

Brooh is fluent in Amharic and is committed to providing compassionate, personalized legal representation to clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who prefer to communicate in their native language. If you or a loved one has been injured, contact the Law Offices of Markey & Orsi today for guidance and support in your language.

Brooh is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia and is also a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland and the American Association for Justice.
